FAQs

A little clarity before your next plant. Explore common questions about choosing, ordering and receiving an LP Anthurium.

Choosing your plant

What is the difference between germinated seeds, seedlings and juveniles?

A germinated seed has visibly begun growth. A seedling has established leaves and roots. Juvenile describes a more developed young plant. Compare the actual size, root information and photographs in each listing.

Will I receive the plant shown in the photograph?

Check whether the image is labelled as the exact plant, a representative plant or a parent reference. Parent photographs show breeding context and do not identify the item being sold.

How many plants are in a seedling pack?

Use the stated pack quantity in the product listing. A 10-seedling pack contains ten seedlings; individual listings should be read separately.

Is a mother plant simply a large Anthurium?

Mother plants are established plants used in our breeding collection. A sold-out mother-plant listing is displayed for reference and is not available to purchase. Check the individual listing for availability.

Can I buy a cross listed in the breeding register?

Only when it has an available product listing. Harvest counts and upcoming breeding projects do not establish current sale quantities or release dates.

How do I choose between early and established plants?

Compare your growing setup with the plant's present stage, size and rooting. Start with the seeds and seedlings collection or browse juvenile plants for a later stage.

Names & breeding

What does AZ1 × AZ2 mean?

It identifies one cross: AZ1 is the seed parent and AZ2 is the pollen parent. These are parent identifiers, not two separate products.

What does “× Self” mean?

It records self-pollination of the named plant. It does not mean the offspring are clones or will all look identical.

What does AFF mean in a parent name?

AFF indicates an affinity to a named species rather than a fully resolved identification. Keep the qualifier when comparing records; do not silently replace it with a confirmed species name.

Are two Carla selections automatically a pure-species cross?

No. A name containing Carla does not verify botanical identity. Both parents require reliable identification and provenance before a pure-species claim is appropriate.
